Mobile ECG - New Wireless Technology For Patients

Electrocardiography or EKG is a medical device that reads the electrical activity of the heart. EKGs are usually used to monitor the heart during an electrocardiogram test or stress test.

The EKG stress test checks for changes or abnormalities in the heart during exercise. Often times, heart abnormality symptoms are only present during exercise or under stress. The stress test safely stresses the heart and records any abnormal or irregular behavior. Many experts believe that anyone older than 35 years of age, who is also generally inactive, should take the exercise test to search for "silent" heart problems before starting a vigorous exercise program.

Wireless ECG
Most recently, wireless technology has been successfully implemented to ease the discomfort among heart patients, as well as to make it easier for the hospital staff, nurses and doctors, to manage the placing of heart monitors on patients. Wireless ECG is a big step towards increasing the comfort during your hospital stay. Now, patients can also take mobile ECG samples at home.

Doctors undertake ambulatory ECG tests to understand the causes of any unexplained chest pain, decide the best treatment for people suffering with angina, read the stamina of the heart, check for blockage in the heart, test strength of the heart medicine, and design an exercise program accordingly.
